Enschede has the largest variety in shops compared to the surrounding area, which is the Eastern part of the Netherlands. Here you can shop to your heart's content, at large (inter)national stores and small boutiques that can be found in the smaller shopping streets. The busiest square in the city centre is the Van Heekplein with many of the large stores. Van Loenshof is the street that has many exclusive shops and boutiques. The Haverstraatpassage accommodates fun, trendy shops with unique items. With bad weather you can still go shopping: De Klanderij shopping centre has approx. 50 shops and stores.
